Meet our Team

Dr. Deborah Smith

For over 15 years Dr. Smith and her dedicated team have been helping couples realize their dream of having a child. Dr. Deborah Smith is an experienced infertility specialist who offers patients a combination of excellent clinical expertise, strong research experience and warm personal care. She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist. Dr. Smith takes pride in offering comprehensive fertility care employing all types of fertility treatments including the advanced reproductive technologies (IVF, ICSI, PGD).

Dr. Smith is native of New York City and attended the New York Medical College. After completion of medical school she was accepted to the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Ob/Gyn residency training program. During residency she received a prestigious national award for her laparoscopic skills. After completing a 4 year Ob/Gyn residency she joined the University of Connecticut, Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and completed a 3 year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After her fellowship training, Dr. Smith has held academic appointments at Creighton University, The University of Nebraska, The University of Texas and The University of Colorado. Her academic and scientific background, plus her empathetic approach is a winning combination, much appreciated by her patients.

Reproductive Medicine Nurse Coordinator

Lucinda is the Nurse Coordinator for Rocky Mountain Fertility Center. RMFC’s Nursing and Clinical Coordination Team plays an integral role in assisting you through your entire treatment. As a RMFC patient, you cannot help but notice Lucinda’s genuine concern and personal commitment to providing you with excellent care. Lucinda received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from New Mexico State University. She has been in the field of Reproductive Medicine and women’s health for over 8 years, and has worked with patients as an infertility nurse in two infertility centers. Lucinda will help coordinate care for general infertility, IVF, and the donor - recipient patients. Along with her years of experience, Lucinda brings the emotional support and understanding necessary to provide state of the art fertility care.

David Russell, B.S., T.S. ABB
Embryology and Andrology Laboratory

David received his B.S. in Biology from the University of New Mexico in 1987. He moved to Denver in 1989 and performed research at National Jewish Medical and Research Center and The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. His research at NJMRC was in the field of immunology. He was also involved in the production of genetically engineered mice using targeted mutagenesis in mouse embryonic stem cells. David was recruited from National Jewish Medical Center in 2001 to work as a clinical embryologist at the University of Colorado. After leaving the University, David joined Rocky Mountain Fertility Center. He is certified as a Technical Supervisor in Embryology and Andrology through the American Association of Bioanalysts.
